GD alum Timothy Samara (’90) is compiling material for a historical and critical exposition of the UArts/PCA graphic design program, from its inception in 1966 to the present. Situating the program in the context of American graphic design education and visual culture, this book is intended as a valuable reference work for historians, critics, design professionals, and instructors and students of design history. The book is targeted for publication in Spring 2016, to coincide with the department’s 50th anniversary.
